James “Jimmy” Blando – IAAI-CFI®, IAAI-ECT®, NAFI-CFEI, NAFI-CVFI
Jimmy Blando recently joined the team at Fire Cause Analysis (FCA). Jimmy resides in Maui, Hawaii and will be conducting fire investigations on the islands. Jimmy is a Certified Fire Investigator and Evidence Collection Technician with the International Association of Arson Investigators. He is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator with the National Association of Fire Investigators. In addition, he is a qualified Fire Inspector III with the National Fire Protection Association. Jimmy received his Associate of Science Degree from Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon.
Over his 25 years as an industry professional, Jimmy has performed over 1,000 fire and explosion investigations involving injuries, fatalities, and fire damage. His area of fire investigation expertise includes Commercial Businesses, Retail Facilities, Various Building Platforms including Educational Institutions, Wildland Fires, and New & Existing Occupancies. Jimmy has also been a qualified court expert witness during his tenure with the Maui Fire Department.
Happily married for 30 years, Jimmy has raised 5 daughters and in his spare time, his hobbies include swimming and other water activities.
