Fire Cause Analysis (FCA) investigators function as a tightly-knit group of experienced professionals. Dennis Field, CFI and FCA President, serves as a Principal Member of the NFPA 1033 Technical Committee. John White, PE VP of Engineering is a NFPA 130 Committee member and the leader of our technical services group. Geoff Hazard IAAI FISC, with Andy Berasley NAFI-CFEI, CVFI, IAAI-FIT(V) – an expert in Vehicle Fire Investigations, and John White, NFPA Committee member and Forensic Engineer, our expert team is committed to providing prompt and accurate investigations that align with our clients’ directions and expectations. Our fire investigators are certified by the International Association of Arson Investigators, California Conference of Arson Investigators, and the National Association of Fire Investigators.

Since 1978 Fire Cause Analysis has maintained a commitment to excellence, evident through our steadfast adherence to, and continued training on, the NFPA 921 guidelines and NFPA 1033 standards. Our investigators, beginning with Don Perkins, FCA Founder and President Emeritus, pursue the necessary professional qualifications to meet and exceed these national benchmarks. FCA history includes Hal Lyson, (Ret.) Director of Investigations, holds the esteemed distinction of being a founding member of the NFPA 921 Technical Committee and actively participated in the NFPA 1033 Technical Committee, both of which are instrumental in shaping the professional standards for fire investigations.
